"Golden Boy" Bobby Robinson battles Cameron Matthews in a non title bout.

NWA On Fire Flash Back match we feature the Hardcore Original, Nunzio and he battles a man from the Nethervoid, the Great Malaki.

The Crown Jewels continue their open challenge and put their gold on the line against a relative new tag team of Matt Taven and Julian Starr.

I had an interesting call from Bad Boy Jason, of the Crown Jewels. The artist formerly known as the Boston Bad Boy wants me to pay close attention to him and his partner (in wrestling, that is--I think) Darling Damon.  Jason said, "we've got some outrageous, spectacular plans for our opponents. Wait and see".  "You're my boy, B Webby", Jason continued, " so I thought I'd give you the 4-1-1 first".   While I appreciate the "exclusive" from Jason, I wouldn't exactly classify myself as his "boy".

As August comes to a close and we head into September, the summer may be "dying", but the pending fall seems to be giving a lot of life to NWA On Fire.  First up, our swan song this past Friday night gives way to a fast-paced, slammin' Saturday morning on MyTV starting this Saturday September 4th at 10:30.  The new fall season will surely bring more bedlam and bodyslams, memories and mayhem that we all know and love, NWA On Fire style!

Then, on to our live events in September.  Friday night September 17, one of our favorite stomping grounds, Rockland Maine!  Great stars and great action is a guarantee.  Saturday night the 18th it's another visit to Springvale.  Every time we pull into town, the fans are as passionate as they come.  You won't find a more loyal bunch than the great folks in Springvale.

-- Connman Report --

Recently, my good friend Brian Webster complimented me on my excitement in announcing the participants during a live NWA On Fire event. I appreciate that. It’s definitely a fun job, and one that I don’t take lightly. I am really just a big professional wrestling fan who was lucky enough to get involved. My goal is to give everyone, the wrestlers, our fans at a live event and those watching on television my best, always.

Thinking of compliments, haven’t Brian Webster and Ryan Matthews made our television product something to listen to? Brian gives it to you straight, and Ryan, well who knows what he is going to say. All in all, our two television pitch men have made NWA On Fire broadcasts a must-see and listen to event.

Last week, I discussed all the great tag teams running around NWA On Fire. There are so many possibilities, that’s for sure, and I can’t wait to see where our tag team division goes in the future.

-- A Golden Anniversary! --

August 22nd, 2009 was a major date in the career of one "Golden Boy" Bobby Robinson!  That is when he surprised the world as well as former champion "El Leon" Apolo and captured the NWA On Fire Heavyweight Championship.

As we mark his one year anniversary, he's put the belt on the line every time and the end result has been the same, "and still your NWA On Fire Heavyweight Champion.... Golden Boy Bobby Robinson"...

Congratulations definitely goes out to the Golden Boy, holding onto a championship for a full calendar year is not an easy task, but there are a lot of hungry lions in the On Fire Roster gunning after the Golden Boy, is there anyone on the current roster able to dethrone the champion?  Only time will tell.
